Citizen Bank opens branch in Birgunj

Citizen Bank International Ltd has opened its branch in Birgunj. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, chief executive officer (CEO) of the bank Rajan Singh Bhandari said that the bank is planning to establish its other branches in Pokhara, Kathmandu and Nepalgunj in the near future. On the occasion of new branch opening, the bank is providing its customer with facilities of opening of account with zero balance, debit card, chequebook, sms service, Internet banking service for the next 15 days. It is also planning to provide its new customers with its ATM service in the days to come. The bank is promoted by Nepali prominent personalities. It claims that it has collected Rs 4.35 billion deposits and lent Rs 4.87 billion. It has posted a profit of Rs 51.2 million profit during first half of current fiscal year.
