City Express Money Transfer has handed over the prize money to the winner of its mega bumper prize in the Dashain Scheme 2081, which awarded 18 times the remitted amount on Monday.

The ceremony was attended by renowned actor, comedian, and brand ambassador of City Express, Jitu Nepal, along with the Founder and Managing Director, Chandra Tandan.

The winner, Nirajan Dhakal, a Nepali resident in Korea, had sent remittance to his mother, Nirmala Tiwari, through G Money Trans via City Express. The bumper prize money of Rs. 7,54,362 was handed over to Tiwari, a resident of Hetauda.

City Express Money Transfer launched the 60-day scheme targeting the major festivals of Nepal, including Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath, from Asoj 1 to Mangsir 30 in 2081. Under this scheme, 1620 people won daily prizes, each receiving a wallet top-up of Rs. 500. Additionally, 24 winners were awarded weekly prizes, Samsung smart TVs, and 6 people received monthly prizes, Samsung smartphones.

In the same event, City Express also unveiled its calendar for the year 2082, which carries the theme of economic growth and the emotional connection facilitated through remittance. The annual themed calendar is a part of the company's ongoing efforts to highlight the importance of remittance and its impact on Nepali families.
