Sankhuwasabha, April 22:

Farmers here have started commercial farming of tea — that is already in different districts like Ilam, Jhapa, Panchthar, Terahathum and Dhankuta — in Sankhuwasabha district.

It is started at Chichila and Kuwapani areas in ward number five of Num VDC in assistance with SODEK, a NGO. But there is a problem of market.

Meanwhile, Ilam Tea Producers Pvt Ltd that was clos-ed for last two-and-a-half month is opened from Tuesday after an accord between management and labours.
