Bhairahawa, May 31:
Mobile service customers have started to reject the service of Nepal Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) due to its faulty service. They have blamed the service, which was launched on May 19, as ‘disruptive’, particularly over the last two weeks. They have demanded the service to be made normal and have submitted a memorandum to the NTC, Bhairahawa urging the same. The memorandum accused that receiving parties can not hear callers’ voice while talking. Moreover, phone lines have started getting interconnected and after 6 pm, most lines go dead.
Anil Pradhan of Siddhartha Nagar-8, said that he has resigned the mobile membership to the corporation. He said, “The service has been upto the expectation. I took the service to get some facility but instead I get only harassment. What is the use of such a service?” asked Pradhan. According to NTC, last week’s thunderstorm has damaged the repeater tower, generator and solar power set at Dagamdaanda of Tanahun. Kalidas Kafle, officiating chief of NTC Bhairahawa, said that they have not been able to repair the damaged equipment. The service would be normalised soon, he added.
