Dabur celebrates 25 years in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd, a leading ayurveda and natural healthcare company, has celebrated its 25 years in Nepal amid a programme here on Monday.

The programme was attended by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri, Chairman of Dabur India Ltd Anand Burman, CEO of Dabur India Ltd Sunil Duggal and Managing Director of Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd Rukma Shumsher Rana, as per a media release.

Dabur was founded in 1884 by the late S K Burman. Dabur today has become world’s largest ayurveda and natural healthcare company.

Dabur entered Nepali market in the year 1989 and started commercial production in year 1992. Since then it has contributed greatly to Nepal’s exports creating about 1,000 direct employments and about 20,000 indirect employments in the country.

With a starting turnover of Rs 5.3 million in 1992, Dabur Nepal has crossed the annual turnover of Rs 10 billion by the year 2016-17, the release adds.

The main brands for Dabur Nepal over the years have been Real, Burrst, Dabur Chyawanprash, Hajmola, Dabur Glucose-D, Dabur Red Toothpaste, Dabur Amla Hair Oil, PROstyle and Dabur Honey.
