Dawn view lures tourists by the dozen
Ilam, November 9:
The number of Tourists arriving to see golden-fingered dawn gilding the skyline in Antudanda,
a well-known tourist destination in Ilam, has increased since the end of the rainy season.
Over 150 tourists from home and abroad visit daily, said Ram Ghimire.
An enticing view of the rising sun, Mount Kanchanjunga, and various parts of eastern Nepal aide from India’s Mirik, Darjeeling, Kurseong and Siliguri can be had.
To promote rural tourism, Antu Festival is held yearly at the joint initiative of Ilam District Development Committee, Nepal Tourism Board and locals. This year, it will held on November 24 and 25.
