DAMAK: An eastern region trade fair has been planned in Damak of Jhapa district with a view to promote internal tourism.

The Damak chapter of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), said that as per FNCCI’s plan to organize

regional level trade fairs in each development region to promote internal tourism in the country, an eastern

regional trade fair has been planned for the Nepali month of Magh. The date is yet to be fixed. An ad-hoc committee has been formed under the coordination of FNCCI former district chairman Ghanendra Raj Yangya to manage the fair, said current FNCCI district chairman Prakash Prasain.

Meanwhile, business entrepreneurs and political parties have sent a memorandum to the government demanding the construction of an industrial corridor in Topgachhi of Jhapa district.
