KATHMANDU: Ebeema.com has announced its launch on April 29. A first of its kind in Nepal, ebeema.com is an online insurance portal that allows the user to compare and buy insurance policies from multiple insurance providers, as per a media release issued on Wednesday. The portal’s features also include tracking of the customers’ policies, receiving reminders for expiration and payments, scheduling physical surveys and medical check-ups, making claims, among others. Ebeema’s current product portfolio includes insurance for homes (fire, earthquake, and burglary), cars, two-wheelers, health, personal accident, travel, and life insurance. Ebeema will currently be working with six life insurance and six non-life insurance companies.  The company aims to be a full service risk management firm and Nepal’s first reinsurance broker in the near future. Ebeema’s mission is to make insurance simple, seamless, and accessible to everyone and as a result help in developing the country’s insurance and financial sector.
