FNCCI’s plea

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged the newly appointed Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada to further improve the investment climate in the country during his tenure.

An FNCCI delegation led by its President Bhawani Rana met Khatiwada at the latter’s office on Tuesday.

During the meeting, FNCCI team expressed hopes of better business environment in the future with the appointment of a capable leadership at the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

“We are optimistic that the new leadership at MoF will be able to give better direction to the country’s economy and industrial growth,” said Rana.

On the occasion, Finance Minister Khatiwada said that he would highly focus on promoting investment at all levels of industry, agriculture, infrastructure and tourism sectors and will work closely with the private sector for economic growth.
