FNCCI elects new team for next term

The 39th annual general meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) concluded here today. The meeting elected a new executive committee with Chandi Raj Dhakal as its president for the 2005-07 term. Dhakal has been unanimously elected as nobody filed nomination for the top post. Out of the total 62 member executive committee, the annual general assembly elects 54 members including a president for a two-year term. However, most of the executive members were unanimously elected this year, except three members from zones, eight members from commodity councils and 13 from district and town chambers. Of the elected, 15 members representing associate organisations,

one each from tourism, bi-national chamber and transport sector were chosen unanimously. Likewise, 11 members from zonal committees were also chosen unanimously. The executive committee meeting will elect vice-presidents and constitutes the councils and various committees. The committee also nominates four executive members.
