World's first pickup to conquer eight extreme terrains in 23 days enters Nepali market

MAW Vriddhi Commercial Vehicle Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Foton vehicles in Nepal, has officially launched the Tunland G7 pickup at The Plaza, Pulchowk.

Celebrated for its off-road endurance, the Tunland G7 made history as the first pickup to conquer eight of the world's toughest terrains in just 23 days, covering over 15,000 kilometers, according to the press release issued by the company.

The launch event was attended by top executives from Foton International and MAW Vriddhi, including Managing Director Vivek Sikaria, who noted that over 1,500 Foton vehicles-500 of them pickups-have been sold in Nepal to date. He also emphasized the G7's 20% lower maintenance cost compared to competitors.

The Tunland G7 comes equipped with a 2.0L diesel engine producing 160 HP and 390 Nm of torque. It features 225mm ground clearance, Hill Hold and Hill Descent Control, and a push-start engine. Comfort features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated/ventilated 12-way adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof, and automatic climate control.

The pickup is available in three variants, Elite priced at Rs 51.99 lakh, Luxury priced at Rs 65.40 lakh, and Flagship priced at Rs 69.99 lakh

All variants boast a rugged yet refined design suitable for both off-road and urban use. Key safety and utility features include ABS with EBD, dual airbags, rear-view camera, infotainment system, and electronic differential lock, the release further stated.

MAW Vriddhi emphasized its robust after-sales support, ensuring reliable maintenance and spare parts availability. The G7's launch also included key handovers to early customers.

The Tunland G7 blends rugged performance with refined design, making it suitable for both off-road challenges and city driving comfort, the company said.
