RUPANDEHI: Truck entrepreneurs met with Lila Giri, chief minister for Lumbini Province, on Tuesday and requested him to address the issues related to entry of Indian trucks in the country, inspection of transport road permits and in the renewal of their bill books and requested the minister to address them.

Speaking with members of the Federation Of Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Nepal (FT- TEN) at the meeting, CM Giri said that it is the responsibility of the state to protect freight and cargo transport entrepreneurs.

The businessmen demanded CM Giri to stop the illegal entry of Indian trucks into Nepal, and to end the complicated system of having to renew the shipping road permit and bill book annually.

According to Yamprasad Pandey, Lumbini provincial coordinator of the FT- TEN, Minister Giri expressed his commitment to develop business and consumer-oriented policies as cargo trucks are indispensable for the government.
