Kathmandu, August 22:

Suhrid Ghimire, president and chief executive officer of Continental Group of Companies has been invited to take part in the fifth annual ‘Forbes Global CEO Conference’ scheduled for August 31-September 1 in Sydney, Australia. Organised by Forbes Magazine, Invest Australia, the Australian government’s investment agency and the New South Wales’ Department of State and Regional Development are the joint host-sponsors of the meet. The Sydney Conference is being attended by around 400 international high profile delegates at the decision making levels and Ghimire will be first Nepali CEO to participate. Keith Gardner, Australian envoy to Nepal handed over the invitation to Ghimire at a programme organised by Nepal-Australia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NACCI). Ghimire is vice-president of NACCI. The conference will focus the world’s attention on Australia as a contemporary business destination. It will also provide participants, including Ghim-ire, access to some of the world’s most senior business leaders.

The Australian prime minister and the premier of New South Wales will also address the conference.
