Global Money Week

KATHMANDU: The Global Money Week was organised in Nepal with the theme ‘Earn, Save and Learn’ from March 27 to April 2 with various awareness campaigns on financial literacy.

The Nepal Prosperity Institute, a think tank working in financial education, entrepreneurship, and economic reforms, organised various programmes over the week. The week-long campaign began with a panel discussion among stakeholders on the topic titled ‘The need to increase financial capability of children and youth’ at Laboratory High School, Kirtipur, followed by various programmes across the country.

The organisation also organised ‘Student with Governor’ programme to raise financial literacy among children and youths.

This programme engaged students in learning how money works, the importance of saving, how to create a sustainable livelihood, how to gain employment and how to become an entrepreneur, according to Prakash Koirala, co-founder of Nepal Prosperity Institute.
