The gold price in the domestic market has soared to unprecedented levels, surpassing Rs 120,000 per tola and reaching Rs 120,800 per tola on Sunday. This marks an increase of Rs 1,800 per tola from Friday's rate.
Earlier, fine gold had reached a record price of Rs 119,300 per tola on November 29, stabilizing around Rs 119,000 per tola for two days before experiencing a sharp rise today.
According to the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FeNeSiGoDA), the price of fine gold was set at Rs 119,000 per tola on Friday. Similarly, standard gold is now being traded at Rs 120,200 per tola, compared to Friday's rate of Rs 118,450 per tola.
In a similar trend, the price of silver has also increased by Rs 5, trading at Rs 1,545 per tola, as opposed to Friday's rate of Rs 1,540 per tola.
