KATHMANDU, MAY 22

The price of gold in the domestic market has surged for the third consecutive day, climbing by Rs 1,700 per tola on Thursday. This follows a sharp jump of Rs 5,000 on Wednesday, marking a significant rise after a period of price stability.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is currently being traded at Rs 191,500 per tola, up from Rs 189,800 on Wednesday and Rs 184,800 on Tuesday.

Silver has also recorded a notable increase, rising by Rs 35 per tola on Thursday. It is now being traded at Rs 2,025 per tola, compared to Rs 1,990 on Wednesday.
