KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 23

The price of gold reached another record high in the domestic market today, rising by Rs 400 per tola on Monday.

The continued appreciation of precious metals in international markets has fueled the steady increase in the Nepali market.

On Friday, the price of fine gold surged by Rs 1,500 per tola, followed by a further rise of Rs 1,700 on Sunday. The upward momentum persisted on Monday, albeit with a more modest gain of Rs 400 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 159,200 per tola, up from Rs 158,800 per tola on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the price of silver, which had recorded a slight increase of Rs 5 per tola on Sunday, remained stable at Rs 1,920 per tola today.
