KATHMANDU, JANUARY 22
Gold price in the domestic market declined by Rs 2,900 per tola on Thursday, a day after reaching a historic high.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 292,200 per tola today, down from the record Rs 295,100 per tola on Wednesday.
Silver price also dropped on Thursday. The precious metal declined by Rs 50 per tola to Rs 5,870, compared to Rs 5,920 per tola in the previous trading session.
Precious metals had been on a steady upward trend since the beginning of the Nepali month of Magh. Thursday's decline marks the first drop in gold and silver prices so far this month.
