KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26

The price of gold surged by Rs 300 per tola on Thursday, continuing its upward trend and setting a new record in Nepal's domestic market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold has now reached Rs 160,700 per tola, compared to Rs 160,400 per tola on Wednesday.

This recent rise in gold prices is attributed to global market trends, particularly following the US Federal Reserve's decision to lower interest rates, which has driven investors toward gold, increasing its demand worldwide.

Meanwhile, the price of silver remained unchanged at Rs 1,955 per tola in the domestic market.
