The price of gold in the domestic market surged to a new all-time high of Rs 176,200 per tola on Friday, surpassing the previous record of Rs 176,000 per tola.

This marks the third consecutive day of price increases since gold retreated from its earlier peak. On Wednesday, the price had risen by Rs 200 per tola, followed by a sharp Rs 1,300 per tola increase on Thursday, continuing its upward trend today.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 176,200 per tola, up from Rs 174,800 per tola recorded on Thursday.

Similarly, silver prices also saw a notable increase, reaching Rs 2,040 per tola on Friday, a rise of Rs 20 per tola from Rs 2,020 per tola recorded on Thursday.
