KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 11

The price of gold rose by Rs 1,000 per tola in the domestic market on Thursday, while silver continued its upward momentum with an additional increase of Rs 55 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 253,100 per tola today, up from Rs 252,100 on Wednesday.

Silver, which has been hitting new historic highs in recent days, climbed further to Rs 3,805 per tola on Thursday. This follows a sharp rise of Rs 150 per tola on Wednesday, when it was traded at Rs 3,750 per tola.

Both precious metals have been on a notable upward trend this week, with silver recording the steeper gains.
