KATHMANDU, APRIL 4

The price of gold in the domestic market dropped sharply by Rs 3,900 per tola on Friday, following a historic high of Rs 180,300 per tola recorded on Thursday.

After steadily climbing throughout the week, gold saw a significant correction today.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 176,400 per tola, down from yesterday's peak.

Meanwhile, silver prices also continued their downward trend.

Silver declined by Rs 25 per tola on Friday and is now priced at Rs 1,870 per tola, compared to Rs 1,895 per tola on Thursday.
