KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22

The price of gold continued its upward trajectory, reaching Rs 165,000 per tola on Friday. This marks an increase of Rs 1,500 per tola in the domestic market today, following a consistent rise over the past week.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the fine gold was valued at Rs 164,000 per tola the previous day. The surge in gold prices has been notable, starting from Rs 160,000 per tola on Sunday, with subsequent increases of Rs 1,100 on Monday, Rs 900 on Tuesday, and modest rises of Rs 100 on both Wednesday and Thursday.

In contrast to the climbing gold prices, silver experienced a slight decline. The price of silver, which had remained stable at Rs 1,950 per tola on Wednesday and Thursday, fell by Rs 10 to Rs 1,940 per tola on Friday.
