The price of gold in the domestic market surged by Rs 1,300 per tola today, resuming its upward trend after a brief decline.

This marks the second consecutive day of price increases since gold retreated from its record high of Rs 176,000 per tola. On Wednesday, the price had risen by just Rs 200 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 174,800 per tola today, up from Rs 173,500 per tola yesterday.

Silver prices also followed gold's upward movement, rising by Rs 30 per tola. Silver, which was priced at Rs 1,990 per tola yesterday, is now being traded at Rs 2,020 per tola.
