KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24

The price of gold has increased by Rs 500 per tola in the domestic market on Monday, continuing its upward trend.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold has reached Rs 170,800 per tola, up from Rs 170,300 per tola on Sunday. Gold had previously hit a historic high of Rs 171,000 per tola on Kartik 15 in the Nepali calendar. This record high was reached again on Falgun 8, before dropping to Rs 170,000 per tola on Falgun 9. However, the price rebounded to Rs 170,300 per tola on Falgun 11.

Similarly, silver prices have also risen, increasing by Rs 15 per tola. The new rate for silver stands at Rs 1,985 per tola, compared to Rs 1,970 per tola on Sunday.
