The gold price in the domestic market has soared to a record high of Rs 122,000 per tola for fine gold on Thursday.
This represents a significant increase of Rs 1,300 from Wednesday's closing price of Rs 120,700 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealer's Association (FeNeGoSiDA). Similarly, standard gold is now being traded at Rs 121,400 per tola, a rise from yesterday's Rs 120,100 per tola.
The last time gold reached a record high was on December 4 when it touched Rs 121,600 per tola for fine gold and Rs 121,000 per tola for standard gold. Following that, it experienced a decline, reaching Rs 116,000 on December 13.
Following this decline, the trend reversed as it began to rise, and on Wednesday, the price for fine gold was recorded at Rs 120,700 per tola. Similarly, standard gold was traded at Rs 120,100 per tola on the same day.
In the silver market, prices have also seen an increase, with silver being traded at Rs 1,490 per tola, compared to Wednesday's closing price of Rs 1,475 per tola.
