KATHMANDU, MAY 12

The price of gold in the domestic market continued its upward trajectory, with the yellow metal rising by Rs 500 per tola on Sunday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 138,400 per tola, up from Friday's rate of Rs 137,900 per tola.

Notably, the price of gold had surged by Rs 2,300 per tola on Friday.

Meanwhile, tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 137,750 per tola, compared to Rs 137,250 per tola on Friday.

In contrast, the price of silver experienced a slight decline, dropping by Rs 10 per tola. It is currently being traded at Rs 1,725 per tola in the Nepali market on Sunday, down from Rs 1,735 per tola on Friday.
