The price of gold witnessed a decline of Rs 400 per tola, while silver saw a drop of Rs 15 per tola in the domestic market on Thursday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Silver and Gold Dealers' Association (FeNeGoSiDA), fine gold is presently being traded at Rs 118,000 per tola, marking a decrease from yesterday's rate of Rs 118,400 per tola.
The gold price had surged by Rs 400 per tola on Wednesday before retracting by the same amount today.
It had been on an upward trend in recent days, following a stumble of Rs 1,500 per tola during the first two days of the Falgun month.
Similarly, tejabi gold is now priced at Rs 117,450 per tola, up from Rs 117,850 per tola on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, silver prices also mirrored this trend, experiencing a decrease of Rs 15 per tola, with today's rate standing at Rs 1,400 per tola compared to Rs 1,415 per tola on Wednesday.
