KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 9

Gorkha Brewery P Ltd has donated Rs 1 crore to the Government of Nepal for the rehabilitation of the recent earthquake victims.

The cheque for the amount was handed by Surendra Silwal, DMD of Gorkha Brewery to the Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal. The prime minister thanked the biggest spontaneous donation among the corporates during this challenging time.

DMD Surendra Silwal said that Gorkha Brewery takes immense satisfaction to help the country during the hour of need. He also mentioned earlier Gorkha Brewery's donation during various natural calamities, such as COVID pandemic and Earthquake in 2015.

Gorkha Brewery has been in the forefront of various CSR activities. Its largest selling and most popular beer brands like Carlsberg, Tuborg and Gorkha have been strongly associated with and helped in the development of music, games, and various other sectors in Nepal.
