Govt forms a GST study committee
KATHMANDU: The government has formed a committee to study the impact of the goods and services tax (GST) enforced by government of India in customs revenue.
The Ministry of Finance, on Monday, formed a committee under the chairmanship of Joint Secretary of Revenue Division, Bishnu Nepal.
The committee also comprises Deputy Director General of Inland Revenue Department (IRD) Dhaniram Sharma and Deputy Director General of Department of Customs Shreekrishna Nepal as members.
The panel has been asked to submit an initial report to the ministry by next week and a detailed report within a month.
