HAN to get own building soon

Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) is to get its own new building within eight months. HAN president Narendra Bajracharya and former president Govinda Das Shrestha jointly laid a foundation stone of the building at Gauridhara amid a Vedic ritual here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion president Bajracharya said that the Building and Fund Raising Committee (BFRC) of HAN has taken the responsibility of constructing the building. Head of BFRC, Shyam Lal Kakshyapati informed that the construction of the six storied building will be completed within eight months. The building will be fully furnished and decorated with traditional Nepali handicrafts.

The building compound extends to 13 annas of land in which HAN secretariat and Tourism Resources Centre will cover 60 per cent of total area, he said. “We are expecting the building will be completed within eight months and one and 11 million rupees have been estimated for the construction.”

HAN, an umbrella organisation of tourist standard hotels and resorts in the country, nowadays is performing its regular works through a hired flat.
