Handicraft Trade Fair to begin from Nov 25

Kathmandu, Sept 20

The Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) has announced that the 14th edition of Handicraft Trade Fair will be held from November 25 at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall.

The event will be supported by Ministry of Commerce and the Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC).

Issuing a press statement today, organisers said that the five-day event aims to promote Nepali handicraft products in the domestic as well as international

markets.

The event will have nine pavilions and 174 stalls that will showcase handicraft products and services of more than 45 districts of the country, FHAN said.

Similarly, the event will put on display products like pashmina, wood and bamboo crafts, statues, jewellery and leather goods, among others.

According to FHAN, domestic handicraft products worth Rs 10 billion are exported to more than 60 countries every year. Likewise, handicraft products worth Rs 10 billion are sold in the domestic market annually.
