Kathmandu, October 6

Royal Treasure Premium Whisky, blended and bottled by Himalayan Distillery Ltd, is entering the Nepali liquor market to coincide perfectly with Nepal’s most widely celebrated festival of Dashain.

Royal Treasure describes itself on the product label as “… a smooth complex blend of golden Scottish malts and hand-picked grain spirits from Nepal. A deep, full-bodied whisky carefully crafted to give a delightful, lingering finish,” reads a media release issued here today.

The product has been released in variants of 750 ml, 375 ml and 180 ml, priced at Rs 1,200, Rs 600 and Rs 300 respectively. The product will be available in select outlets across the country.

Jawalakhel Group of Industries, a company best known for Nepal’s number one vodka Ruslan, manages four experienced distilleries, including Himalayan Distillery Ltd, which also manufactures and distributes Seagram’s Royal Stag and Blender’s Pride, both premium whisky brands.

Golden Oak, another whisky brand placed at a more affordable price segment and Himalayan Aaila are fine examples of other products by the same house.
