KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 15

The tech giant Apple on Tuesday confirmed arrival of its much-awaited new product-- the iPhone 13 -- amid its annual fall product launch.

At the product launch event, Apple announced the iPhone 13 lineup, Apple Watch Series 7, a new regular iPad and an all-new iPad mini.

The new phone lineup includes four new models consistent with the existing iPhone 12 roster. The iPhone 13 Mini has been priced at USD $699 while the iPhone 13 base model will cost $799.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 pro is available at USD $999.

Similarly, the iPhone 13 Max which is the company's premium model, starts at USD $1,099. The current pricing is consistent with the iPhone 12 series.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini are powered by a new 6-core chip, which is the A15 Bionic designed by Apple.

According to Apple, the CPU is 50 percent faster than available competitive smartphone chips while the company also boasted of a 30 per cent better graphic performance.

The screens on the new phones are 28 percent brighter and they come with a better battery life than the earlier model.

The updated antennas intalled into the phones provide greater support for 5G networks in more countries.

The new dual-camera system including a new wide-angle 12 MP camera along with new video features like "cinematic mode," allowing for clearing blurry elements of a shot might impress Apple Fans.

Customers can now get the phones in five new colours--pink, starlight, blue, midnight and red.

The company has also announced the launch of new versions of the 6.1-inch iPhone Pro and 6.7-inch Pro Max, that provide better camera and video performance compared to the base models. The Pro variant of the iPhone 13 is availabe in graphite, gold, silver and blue colors.

Telephoto, ultrawide and wide lenses are the three new cameras that can be found on the back of the Pro and the Pro Max models.
