KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 6

Himalaya Jet, an international airline company based in London, has achieved a milestone with over 12,000 tickets booked in just 24 hours.

According to Himalaya Jet, a total of 12,442 passengers booked the tickets during the period spanning September 4th to 5th via 7,853 pre-bookings for various international destinations. This exceptional surge in ticket bookings within such a brief time frame has set a new industry record, the airlines said.

These bookings encompass flights departing from London to an array of destinations, including Paris in France, Frankfurt in Germany, Sydney in Australia, and even Kathmandu.

According to the airlines, all these travelers who have booked their tickets within 24 hours will be rewarded with 1,000 Himalaya Miles points each. Additionally, passengers who book tickets between September 5th and 12th will also receive a bonus of 200 miles per ticket, the Himalaya Jet announced.

Himalaya Jet, a premium British long-haul carrier set to commence operations in the third quarter of 2023, plans to expand its fleet with 18 wide-body aircraft by 2025, estimating its valuation to reach £7 billion by that time. In addition to its flights, Himalaya Jet will introduce a customer-friendly loyalty scheme, Himalaya Jet Miles, which will forge partnerships with handpicked renowned 5/4-star hotels, casinos, car rental services, spas, golf courses, English Premier League Clubs, restaurants, shopping malls, cinemas, amusement parks, helicopter charters, domestic airlines, and various other service providers worldwide. Himalaya Jet aims to attract 12 million loyalty passengers within its first two years of operation before 2025. This loyalty scheme, with alliances with American Express, MasterCard, and Visa cards, is poised to become the seamless platform for all travelers' needs.

Himalaya Jet will operate a direct-flight (point-to-point) model, connecting 33 cities worldwide, with a particular focus on three major casino hubs: Monte Carlo, Macau, and Las Vegas. Operational cities include London, Paris, Manchester, Edinburgh, Geneva, Zurich, Milan, Venice, Rome, Miami, Washington DC, New York, Manchester, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, Venice, Madrid, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Perth, and Sydney.

This direct point-to-point flight model is expected to save passengers time, offer an estimated 30% more affordability, and contribute to sustainability efforts by emitting fewer carbon emissions compared to traditional airlines with cumbersome transit routes.
