KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 3

Global mobility platform inDrive has reinforced its commitment to user safety in Nepal, emphasizing informed decision-making while preserving its core principle of freedom of choice amid the rapid expansion of ride-hailing services in urban centres.

Through a combination of in-app safety features and user awareness initiatives, inDrive said it aims to ensure a safer and more transparent travel experience before, during, and after each ride.

Before trips begin, users are encouraged to review driver details such as name, photo, and vehicle information available within the app, and to share trip details with trusted contacts. During rides, passengers can share live location updates, use masked calling to protect privacy, and access an in-app SOS button in case of emergencies.

After completing a ride, users are advised to rate drivers and provide feedback, enabling accountability and continuous improvement within the platform.

"Safety and freedom of choice must go hand in hand as Nepal's urban mobility ecosystem evolves," said Rita Pokharel, Country Representative of inDrive Nepal, adding that clear information and easy-to-use tools empower users to travel with confidence.

inDrive operates in over 1,065 cities across 48 countries and offers services including ride-hailing, intercity transport, delivery, and financial solutions.
