Industrialist Lunkaran Das Chaudhary passes away
KATHMANDU: Noted industrialist Lunkaran Das Chaudhary passed away this afternoon. He was 91.
Long suffering from lung and stomach-related illness, Chaudhary died in course of treatment at Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital.
Chaudhary who had made a significant contribution to the development of country's industrial sector is the patron of Chaudhary Group, country's leading business enterprise.
He was founder of the eastern region-based Pashupati Biscuits Industry, the first industry of the region.
Chaudhary is survived by his daughter and three sons including billionaire Binod Chaudhary.
