KATHMANDU, JULY 13

Asian Paints Nepal has concluded the 13th edition of the Kaleidoscope – All Nepal Architecture & Interior Design Competition 2025-26, recognising outstanding architecture and interior design students from across the country.

The winners were honoured at an award ceremony held at Aloft by Marriott in Thamel on Friday, attended by government officials, architects, interior designers, academicians and students. Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Er Gopal Prasad Sigdel, attended the event as chief guest.

Purushottam Ghimire of IOE Thapathali Campus won the national competition for his design concept, while Suman B.K. of IOE Purwanchal Campus was named first runner-up and Aditi Rijal of Himalaya College of Engineering secured the second runner-up position.

According to the organisers, the winners were selected through a multi-stage evaluation by a jury comprising senior architects, representatives of the Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA) and officials from the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC). The top 12 finalists received certificates, while the top three winners were awarded trophies, certificates and cash prizes.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the winning design through a 3D model, after which the concept was formally handed over to the DUDBC as a symbolic step towards translating academic ideas into practical applications.

Asian Paints Nepal said the annual competition aims to bridge academia and industry by providing architecture and interior design students with opportunities to work on practical design challenges and gain exposure to professional practice.

The company said the initiative seeks to encourage innovation, creativity and technical excellence while preparing aspiring architects and interior designers for professional careers.
