Elon Musk drops to the second position followed by Bill Gates

Jeff Bezos has reclaimed the title of world's richest person, knocking down Elon Musk from the position, on Wednesday.

According to Bloomberg, Musk who had been staying as the richest person for about a month came down to the second position following the loss of $4.6 billion from his fortune after the shares of Tesla Inc slid down 2.4 per cent on Tuesday.

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com Inc and Blue Origin, a rival to Musk's SpaceX, held the title for more than three years before being kicked out of the throne for a brief spell by Musk.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranking, Jeff Bezos holds the title with $191 billion as total net worth while Elon Musk is second with $190 billion total net worth.

Similarly, Bill Gates, Bernard Arnault, and Mark Zuckerberg came third, fourth, and fifth respectively with $137 billion, $116 billion, and $104 billion as their total net worth.
