Dahal also accused the prime minister of following the path of regression.

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 08

Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who has been quite vocal against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's recent move, said that Oli had earned the reputation of being the most tainted person in the history of Nepali politics by trampling the constitution that was framed after decades of instability in the country.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Unified All Nepal Teachers Association in Kathmandu at its first National Council Meeting today, Dahal also accused the prime minister of following the path of regression.

He also said that he was struggling to establish rule of law in the country. "Oli has earned a bad name for himself, and has been left with nothing but defeat and loss from here on," Dahal said.

He further said that their fight was not against Oli as a person or for position, but for progress and against regression.

Dahal, in a bid to win the favour of teachers, said that he was also a teacher and writer once. He also added that Oli was scared of teachers and intellectuals.

"Teachers are by nature rebellious because they are progressive.

But, Oli is scared of teachers and intellectuals as he has a regressive mind-set. He loves the company of blind followers," said Dahal.

Dahal and Nepal faction in the NCP have been staging protests across the country ever since the House was dissolved.
