KATHMANDU: Outstanding economic journalists were awarded with SEJON Award on the occasion of SEJON Day on Sunday. SEJON honours economic journalists in print and electronic media category every year on SEJON's annual day with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to each award recipient.
Journalist duo Mamta Thapa and Surendra Kafle from Annapurna Post Daily received SEJON award this year. Likewise, Late Bhola Chalise Liberal Journalism award was presented to Krishna Acharya from Kantipur daily. This year, Binay Banjara of Galaxy 4K Television (under broadcast category), Gajendra Budhathoki of Taskar magazine (under print category) and Thakur Prasad Dulal from Pahichaan media (under digital category) also received the awards. Meanwhile, Late Sanjay Neupane Economic Journalism Fellowship was handed over to Kausila Kunwar of Karobar Daily.
