KATHMANDU: Jyoti Life Insurance Company Limited on Monday opened a new branch in Naya Bazaar, Sorhakhutte area.

The company's board member Sharmila Shrestha Maharjan inaugurated the branch office. Board member Nanda Kishor Sharma accorded responsibility to branch manager Alok Anamol Upreti.

Following the inauguration, Manager Upreti and the operation unit's Sujan Thapa jointly carried out the "pooja" ritual.

With the opening of the new branch, Jyoti Life now has 91 branches.

The company plans to reach out to all parts of Nepal and make insurance services available to all the Nepali citizens and safeguard their future interests.

Present on the occasion were Chief Executive Director (CED) Prakash Bikram Khatri, Secretary Ram Prasad Thapaliya, Underwriting Department Head Rajiv Gurubacharya, Corporate Marketing Head Umesh Mainali, Bancassurance Head Sanandan Pokharel, IT Head Saurabh Shrestha, Province 3 manager Kiran Gautam, Regional Deputy Manager Sapoot Khanal.

Also present were President for Sorhakhutte Pahiko Area Consumers’ Committee, Bharat Jung Upreti, Vice-president Ashta Narayan Maharjan, Treasurer Shyam Shrestha, President of Pahiko Youth Club Nirmal Maharjan, Co-chairpersons of Mahila Samuha Asha Shakya and Bimala Shrestha.
