KATHMANDU: Khalti, one of the leading digital wallets of Nepal, celebrates its sixth anniversary on Thursday.

Launched in 2017, with the inception of digital transformation in the basic payment needs of Nepalis, Khalti has emerged as the fastest-growing financial technology start-up in Nepal with a user base of 3.1 million across the country and over 300,000-plus daily transactions, as per a media release.

Khalti has been closely working with more than 70,000 agents, over 60,000 merchants, 50-plus banks and financial institutions, over 1,100 co-operatives, and more than 250 employees throughout the country. The sixth-year milestone was marked with the tagline 'K Cha, Khalti Cha', with plans to unveil the 'Khalti membership' on February 1.

This membership that consists of 'Khalti Club' and 'Khalti Pro' is a subscription plan for exclusive offers and deals.

Meanwhile, Khalti is also offering anniversary offers and giveaways provided by different service providers and merchants partnered with Khalti.
