Malakar takes part in meet

Kathmandu, September 17:

Surendra Bir Malakar, president of NCC is taking part as a panelist in a dialogue on ‘Private Sector and Aid for Trade’ organised by International Trade Centre in Manila, Philippines.

The business leaders and government officials will find out ways in which private and public sectors can work together more closely in setting national trade policies and bringing developing countries more benefit from economic globalisation in the programme, states a press release issued here by the NCC, today.

The dialogue was the second of a series of three into full ministerial conferences organised by the WTO and regional development ban-ks in its ‘Aid for Trade’ initiative that aims to help poorer countries develop skills and infrastructure needed for boosting their exports.

The first dialogue was held in Lima, Peru earlier this month, for the Latin American and Caribbean region, and another will follow for Africa in Dar es Salaam from September 30 to October 2.
