KATHMANDU: Automechanics Association of Nepal (AAN) and Butwal Auto Engineering Association (BAEA) have jointly submitted a memo to District Administration Office, Rupandehi to do the needful to curb illegal import and trade of spare parts of vehicles.
As per a press release, there has been increase in such illegal activities by unscrupulous traders by taking advantage of porous border between Nepal and India.
The associations have mentioned that genuine traders are on the brink of collapse due to such activities at a time when they are already suffering hardships due to COVID, changes in banking policies and high interest rates.
