Microsoft award for Nepali professional

Microsoft Corporation has decided to award the prestigious ‘Most Valuable Professional’ recognition for the year 2005 to Allen Bailochan Tuladhar in Nepal for expertise domain of Windows Shell. A press statement issued by Unlimited today says, “The award is being given to a Nepali for the first time in the 11 year-old history of the award. This is being provided for the passion shown for localisation of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Proofing Tools into Nepali Language.” This valuable professional award is being given in recognition of the work that Unlimited NuMedia Pvt ltd is doing for formulating a Nepali version of Microsoft Windows, Office and Proofing Tools. This is having a direct impact on the development of Nepal and not only reducing the digital divide but to create basic infrastructure required for delivering such services as e-governance, tele-medicine, distance education, etc through the vernacular, says the press statement.
