KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 9

Gen Z movement leader Sudan Gurung on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Sushila Karki at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

During the meeting, Gurung expressed his interest in receiving updates on the progress of the agreement to be reached between the government and the Gen Z movement, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

He urged the Prime Minister to complete the necessary processes to finalize the agreement, which would grant official recognition to the Gen Z movement.

Gurung also raised concerns that some youths had been detained by the police solely for participating in the movement and that others had been forced into police custody because they were unable to pay the required bail amount.
