Beijing pledges continued support for Nepal's development and prosperity
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 18
Chen Song, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki at her office this afternoon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen Nepal–China relations and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation. Ambassador Chen conveyed a congratulatory message from the Government of China on Karki's appointment as head of Nepal's interim government.
The ambassador reaffirmed that China respects the political and developmental path chosen by the Nepali people and expressed Beijing's commitment to provide continued support for Nepal's development and prosperity, the ministry added.
