Ministry of Industry plans to promote women entrepreneurs

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Industry has made preparations to arrange free registration system for small and cottage industries aimed at promoting women entrepreneurs.

Speaking in an interaction programme organised by Small and Cottage Industry Committee here today, the Industry Secretary Jay Mukunda Khanal informed that the Ministry was preparing to come out with the free registration facility to the small entrepreneurs as per the provision of the Industry Act.

Secretary Khanal further said that the Ministry was imparting free training to women entrepreneurs.

Similarly, Joint Secretary Yam Kumari Khatiwada said that the Ministry was preparing to make arrangements to sell the local productions prepared by women entrepreneurs at government offices in all the 75 districts.

She added that labour of women should be linked to the economic production.
