Nabil-FINLIT pact

KATHMANDU: Nabil Bank and FINLIT Nepal Pvt Ltd have entered into an agreement to conduct financial literacy awareness programmes at Besisahar, Lamjung.

Ramesh Prasad Lohani, deputy general manager of Nabil Bank and Prakash Koirala, director of FINLIT Nepal Pvt Ltd, signed the agreement to this effect recently, as per a media release.

Nabil Bank will be conducting financial literacy awareness programmes at 10 schools in Besisahar in partnership with FINLIT Nepal. This partnership aims to spread financial literacy awareness among students of grade seven to 10 at Besisahar.

FINLIT Nepal has come up with a structured approach named ‘School Bank’, which helps targeted students and youth to gain knowledge on financial literacy and access to finance.

School Bank financial education model is designed to give the school children and their parents, a better understanding of financial matters by teaching them principles of money management, savings and spending, financial planning and investments.

The course duration is of seven months.
